Northern California prosecutors announced an elderly retired police captain will be charged for soliciting sex from a teenage prostitute who is at the heart of the scandal that has rocked several Bay Area law enforcement agencies — and they said one of the six other officers investigated in the case exchanged Cheetos for sex with the former hooker.
The Contra Costa District Attorney’s office said Friday that the former Oakland police department captain will be charged later this week with a misdemeanor after the aging ex-cop admitted to paying for sex with Jasmine Absulin, now 19.
The DA’s office declined to identify the retired captain, only saying he is “rather elderly” and over 80-years-old.
The announcement came along with news that six officers from nearby Richmond police department will not face charges after being investigated for their involvement with Absulin.
