The couple who took in school massacre suspect Nikolas Cruz months before last week\u2019s Florida shooting said they had a \u201cmonster living under our roof” but saw no warning signs the night before the bloodbath \u2014 despite the 19-year-old\u2019s history of trouble in school, reports said.<\/p>\n

In an interview with the Sun-Sentinel on Saturday, James and Kimberly Snead said they never saw the violent side of Cruz, but recognized that the 19-year-old was depressed about his mother, who died in November. The couple had opened their home to Cruz, who was staying with a family friend, at their son\u2019s request.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe had this monster living under our roof and we didn\u2019t know,\u201d Kimberly Snead, 49, said. \u201cWe didn\u2019t see this side of him.\u201d<\/p>\n
