Eric Trump, adult son of now-convicted former President Trump, highlighted his father’s campaign fundraising numbers in the immediate aftermath of the conviction.

“What’s really amazing, go back to 2016 for a second, the largest fundraising haul in history to that point, we did in one day, you know, $16 million,” Trump told Fox News’s Jesse Watters.

“And as of a couple of minutes ago, we just announced $52.8 million in 24 hours and we’re probably another five, six million dollars above that, based on the fact that that was exactly 24 hours from the indictment time, which was about 5:30 [p.m.],” Trump continued.

Trump’s father, the presumptive GOP presidential nominee, was found guilty on all 34 felony charges against him for falsifying business records related to a hush money payment to conceal an alleged affair with porn actor Stormy Daniels ahead of the 2016 election.

The decision came Thursday after the jury turned around a verdict quicker than expected. Former President Trump said shortly after the decision was handed down that the “real verdict is going to be Nov. 5, by the people,” referring to Election Day. His legal team said they are considering all options to appeal the conviction.
