Oklahoma authorities and U.S. Marshals located a man who allegedly faked his death in Georgia six years ago, police announced.
Christopher Tomberlin, 36, faced suspicion for the murder of his then-wife in a 2015 attempted murder case.
Oklahoma City Police and the U.S. Marshals Service Metro Fugitive Task Force collaborated on a weeks-long investigation that resulted in Tomberlin’s arrest.
“Tomberlin was wanted out of Bibb County, Georgia in connection with a 2015 case where he attempted to murder his then-girlfriend. Soon after this incident, Tomberlin faked his own death and has been able to evade capture until now,” police officials said.
