President Donald Trump has the lowest job approval rating of any president after their first 100 days than any in history, according to the latest Gallup poll released on Saturday.
Even with the president’s approval rating inching up a few percentage points this past week, Trump’s 42 percent approval is still low enough to earn him the worst rating of any president 100 days into their term since Gallup started tracking presidential job approval.
While 42 percent of those surveyed said they approve of the president’s job thus far, another 53 percent said they disapprove.
At the 100-day mark Trump’s predecessor former President Barack Obama had a 65 percent approval rating. Former President George W. Bush before him sat at 53 percent 100 days into his first term.
Trump himself has called the 100 day marker “ridiculous.
During his presidential campaign he released a “Contract with the American Voter” which laid out his “100-day action plan to Make America Great Again.”
