Coast Guard officials’ estimation of when the missing Titanic submersible would run out of oxygen has passed.

The missing OceanGate submersible, which left for its expedition to view the Titanic wreckage on Sunday morning, disappeared roughly one hour and 45 minutes after its dive began. The vessel is intact with 96 hours of oxygen, but officials said the air could run out as early as 7:08 a.m. Eastern time on Thursday.

The Titan submersible is a small submarine designed by OceanGate to carry five passengers, including one pilot and four crew members, to explore the wreckage of the Titanic passenger ship.
