The President-elect Donald Trump went on another Twitter tirade Friday morning — hours before a new poll showed a majority of Americans don’t approve of how he’s been handling his transition.
Public opinion polls have showed most Americans don’t approve of Trump’s Twitter rants, and the poll released Friday morning showed him maintaining historically low marks for his transition performance.
The Gallup poll released Friday found that 51% of Americans disapprove of Trump’s handling of the presidential transition process, up from 48% a month ago.
“Trump’s 48% transition approval rating in December was already the lowest for any presidential transition Gallup has measured” since it started doing so in 1992, the polling agency stated.
His predecessor, Barack Obama, had an 83% approval for his handling of the transition process in January 2009.
The last President before Trump to win the election despite losing the national popular vote was George W. Bush in 2000, Gallup noted — but Bush still garnered a 61% approval rating in mid-January of 2001.
