President Trump on Sunday blasted a poll showing him with a record low approval rating as “the most inaccurate poll around election time!”
“The ABC/Washington Post Poll, even though almost 40% is not bad at this time, was just about the most inaccurate poll around election time!” Trump tweeted.
The ABC News/Washington Post poll, released early Sunday, found that Trump has a 36 percent approval rating among Americans after six months in office — the lowest rating of any president in the past 70 years.
Trump’s approval rating has hovered around 40 percent in recent months. He earned a 48 percent approval rating in a Harvard-Harris Poll survey last month, considerably higher than in other polls.
The new poll numbers come as Trump faces investigations into ties between his administration and Russia, and as reports emerge of a meeting between top Trump campaign officials and a Russian lawyer during the campaign. Trump has denied any knowledge of the meeting.
