Kid Rock continues to flirt with a Michigan Senate bid, highlighting a conservative poll showing he would lead in a hypothetical match-up against incumbent Sen. Debbie Stabenow.
The “All Summer Long” singer, whose real name is Robert Ritchie, tweeted to his nearly 450,000 followers on Monday:
The tweet linked to an article right-leaning news site The Gateway Pundit, which featured a Delphi Analytica poll. Ritchie led Stabenow 54 percent to 46 percent among those surveyed.
It’s not the first time Ritchie has targeted Stabenow in recent days. Last week, he tweeted:
Dinner time at my house. What do you think Schumer is spoon-feeding Stabenow tonight? pic.twitter.com/gomKgqBV2l
Ritchie, 46, teased earlier this month that he would have a “major announcement in the near future,” while promoting a Senate campaign website.
While a GOP consultant called the Michigan-born performer a “prohibitive favorite” if he entered the race, at least one lawmaker pounced on Ritchie’s potential political bid.
