Maine residents are gripped with fear as authorities search for the suspect in a shooting at a bowling alley and a bar in the town of Lewiston that left at least 18 people dead and 13 others injured.
A 40-year-old man, Robert Card, of Bowdoin, Maine, was named by police as the subject of the manhunt.
Manhunt: Law enforcement swarmed the perimeter of Card’s home late Thursday night, but it was unclear whether he was inside.
Eight of the 18 victims have been identified, but officials have yet to release their names as an investigation continues.
Schools, municipal offices and businesses in Lewiston were closed Friday while a shelter-in-place order remains in effect.
