The estranged wife of Anthony Weiner, 52, made it very clear how she felt about the disgraced politician on Friday by officially filing for divorce in Manhattan Supreme Court according to the New York Post, nine months after she announced that the couple had separated in the wake of his third sexting scandal.
She filed the papers on the same day Weiner learned he could be spending up to 10 years in prison after entering a guilty plea on a single charge of transferring obscene material to a minor.
That offense was made public in the wake of Weiner’s fourth sexting scandal this past September, one mother after Abedin, 40, announced their split.
Weiner’s day in court came eight months after DailyMail.com revealed that the disgraced Congressman had been exchanging sexually-charged messages and explicit photos with a 15-year-old high school student in North Carolina.
It is unclear if Weiner knew of Abedin’s plan to file the papers on Friday as the former Congressman wore his wedding band in court.
